You can apply essential oils to your skin. Start by dropping a drop of oil into the palm of your hand straight from the bottle and apply it “neat” to your skin or add a carrier oil to dilute the oil before you apply to your skin. (“Hot” oils such as cinnamon always need a carrier oil!)
You can create roller bottles and mix blends based on what you like or any health issues that you are dealing with. There are rules of thumb to follow depending on the who the roller bottle is created for, please refer to dilution recommendations below!

Diffuse daily for mood, sleep, less stress, air quality without toxic chemicals from candles and air fresheners. Add oils to diffuser jewelry or inhale from the palms of your hands or straight out of the bottle! Studies show that oils affect the limbic area of the brain which is the part that deals with emotions and memory.

You may ingest essential oils that are approved by your federal government. Young Living has a line of approved dietary essential oils with a white label, in the USA they are Vitality Oils and in Canada they are “Plus+” oils.
They are great used in cooking-use sparingly-one or two drops go a long way! I have a chart for how to use these oils in cooking, which I use all the time to add a burst of fresh flavor!

Basic Recommendations for Diluting Essential Oils

Why dilute essential oils? Firstly, you are not sure how your skin will react to an essential oil as essential oils are quite potent!
The skin of infants and children as well as the elderly is often more sensitive than the skin of most adults.
Here is a general rule of thumb to follow:
For children, 1-3 drops of essential oil to every ounce (30 ml) of a carrier oil.
Adults, depending on the condition of the skin, and the frequency of usage you may use 10-20 drops to an ounce (30 ml) of carrier oil. (This is about 30%)
Some essential oils may need more dilution-or less drops, for instance a “hot” essential oil like Cinnamon, clove etc of no more than 0.5%.
Photosensitive essential oils should be diluted more than regular other essential oils for example Lemon EO 2%, Grapefruit EO 4%.
Remember to always, always read the label on your essential oil bottle for ingredients and recommendations of use and dilution.
