Making your own laundry detergent is pretty easy. I’ve been making my own laundry detergent for years and love that it is economical and that the ingredients are easy to find just about anywhere.

My go to has been a recipe for Melissa Poepping’s book “Chemical Free Home for Housekeeping”. (You may find it on Amazon or purchase directly from Melissa Poepping at https://melissapoepping.com/shop-1 )It is loaded with diy recipes for the home and I highly recommend it if you are interested in ditching toxins from your home. It’s also great for washing walls and more! Always do a test patch first before attempting.
You should be able to find most of these items at your local grocery or hardware store. I wasn’t able to find Mrs. Stewart’s Bluing in my area, so I ordered from Amazon. A little goes a very long way! It’s great to have on hand to help naturally whiten whites in the laundry.
